Practice the ROP Traffic Sign Test

My friend is learning to drive in Muscat so I made this simple game to try and help her practice for her traffic signs test.
The first part of the ROP (Royal Omani Police) driving test is identification of road traffic signs.
The signs are divided into 4 categories – Guiding, Manadatory, Preventative, and Warning. As far as I know the test consists of a policeman pointing at a large chart, and you tell him what the sign is at the end of his stick.. simple? I’m l.ucky enoigh that I dont have to do the test.. but good luck to those that do, and I hope this helps!

The test will apear when it is loaded.. (Ill add a preloader when I have more time)

Oman Classifieds – How to buy or sell on Muscat Ads

Posting a classified advert on Muscat Ads is very simple! All you need to do is register to get a sellers account, and then fill in a few details about the item for sale. Sell ANYTHING you like.. we have classified categories for everything. Cars, houses, jobs, furniture, jewellery… you name it!

How to place a Muscat Ads classified advert in 5 easy steps.

1. Register for an account

Click on the “Register” button at the top right of the screen

Enter a Username (this can be anything – but make it something you can remember)

Enter your email address (this must be a working email)

Check your email – Your password will be sent to your email address.

2. Login to your Muscat Ads Seller Account

Go to the login page at http://www.muscatads.com/wp-login.php

Enter your username and password (from the email)

4. Change your password (optional)

If you want to change your password, add a profile picture, or a web site link go the “Dashboard”

To enter your dashboard click on the link at the top left of the screen (Click “My Dashboard”)

Click “Edit Profile” to change your password, or edit your profile options.

5. Post your Oman Classified Ad

To post a classified advert on Muscat Ads click on the “Post an Ad” button (Cedric the camel is pointing at this button on most pages!)

Select the most appropriate category for your item from the drop down list.

Add a Title for your item. Do not put “For Sale” or “A Car” – Put the name of what it is, and a short description – For example “Ford Mustang – 2010 Saleen S281. Auto, Black”

Add a Price – If you want 50 Riyals just type “50″. (The web site ads “RO” to anything you type) If you don’t want to say a price just type “Negotiable”

Add a telephone or GSM number - so people can contact you easily add you phone number.

Select your town or district – to help people know which area you live in to collect you item.

Description – here you can sell your item! Describe it with as much detail as possible. There is no limit on the number of words.

Tags – Tags help people search for your advert on the internet. You can type words here that are about your item (sep orate each word with a comma). EG – “Ford, Mustang, 2010, Saleen, S281″

Upload a photo – Click “browse” to find a picture on your PC.

Click “Continue” – then wait a few seconds for your picture to upload.

The next screen shows the site rules. Click “Proceed” to continue and place your Classified Advert on Muscat Ads.

Your Classified Advert is now online!

Cars for sale Muscat, Oman

I started Muscat Ads as I wanted to buy a Jeep Wrangler in Muscat. When looking for cars for sale in Muscat & Oman, I found it a little hard to find one good place where I could see a lot of cars for sale to compare prices – theres no website that does this. So muscat ads was the answer! But why limit it to just cars for sale..? So I didn’t

We currently have 300+ cars for sale on the website, as well as several adverts for car accessories. To encourage more people to advertise cars for sale in Oman I have had flyers printed to put on the windscreens of cars I see for sale in the street. We have also contacted a few second hand car companies with the idea that they use muscat ads to help increase their car sales. Hopefully with both these ideas running a lot more second hand cars for sale will appear on the website soon!

In the meantime, if you have a car for sale please advertise it! Muscat Ads is one of the few places that you can sell your car at no cost.

Muscats Ads Blog!

We now have a blog!
I’ve added a blog so we can keep all the Muscat Ads members up to date with any new or information that comes our way.

So far the site has been a great success!

Many thanks to all the people who contacted us with positive feedback, both on the facebook page (www.facebook.com/muscatads) and on the website. If you’ve managed to sell something successfully, or have promoted your business and had customers mention the advert on MA then we are glad to be of service.

Also many thanks to members Nawal Richa – for helping me resolve a problem with posting adverts in one of the categories, and Tyler Scott for spotting a couple of dubious adverts on the site. I have now implemented a script that can block a user from using the site if they repeatedly post adverts that are not useful to the Muscat community. We want this website to be a safe place to buy and sell in Muscat, and so we will work hard to make sure that is the case.

I will be adding the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page soon – so if any of you have any questions about how the site works, and problems, or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the “Contact us” page.
